  I hired a van to take my wife and kids to Sydney and it was nothing short of a horrible experience. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.
  
  The list...
  
  The passenger door was held together with duct tape.
  
  There was food still not cleaned out of the sink from the last trip.
  
  The freezer didn't work (ice cream everywhere) and the cushions for the beds were full of holes and filthy.
  
  The pillows supplied were stained so we just took it all out and used our own bedding.
  
  The brakes shuddered constantly.
  
  The interior windows were covered in filth.
  
  The customer service at the Brisbane depot was actually awesome.
  
  The van was so in fact shite that we ended up driving through the night rather than stop and sleep in it.
  
  I get that their market is 'backpackers' but still I'd be ashamed to think that anyone from overseas was given this kind of impression of Australian standards.
  
  I'd never hire from them again. Ever.
